Acupuncture helps aide in the free flow of Qi, breaking up what is stagnant, dispersing what has accumulated, getting the energy to move into the right direction.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very thin, about the size of two hair strands. In most cases, needle insertion is completely painless. If needles are not an option for you, treatment through magnets and cords is an alternative way to stimulate the Qi.

What is ayurveda?

Ayurveda originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that translates to “knowledge of life”. It is a system of medicine based on the idea that disease is caused by an in-balance in a person’s consciousness. Just as someone has a particular finger print, everyone has a particular pattern of energy. Diagnosis and treatments are based on the 3 dosha’s, vata, pitta, and kapha.

Ayurveda counselors help to determine your dominant dosha and the life-styles and eating habits that will help you thrive.

How many treatments will i need?

Acupuncture & Ayurveda works cumulatively, on a series on treatments. You can never have treatments too close together, but you can have them too far apart.

Every body reacts to treatments differently. It is not a one-size fits all approach to medicine. Frequency will be determined on a case to case basis.
